Do you love Eyewire and want to help improve its community? Here’s your chance! Help out our international community by translating Eyewire’s tutorial videos into multiple languages.
Here’s how it works:
Eyewire has uploaded tutorial videos to Youtube that explain how to play Eyewire. All of these videos are in English, and many have English Closed Captions.
Attached to this blog are English transcripts for the Eyewire tutorial videos. Click on any one to download it. If it does not download, but instead opens in a new page, just copy and paste the text into a text editor.
Open the file in a text editor on your computer. You’ll notice there is a number and timestamp above each line of English text. Make sure to keep these intact while you do your translations. If you remove the timestamp, or alter it in any way, it will not correctly upload to the video.
Once you have completed your translations, save them in a text file with the name of your language in the title. For example, if I translated Tutorial 3 into Spanish, I would save it as a text file called “Tutorial-3-Spanish.txt”
Send your translations to firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll add them to our tutorials!
If you would like to watch to the video you are helping to translate, just visit the YouTube channel “EyeWirer” and select the video you are working on.
Here is Tutorial 1, which has already been translated into multiple languages:
Here are transcripts from all the videos we currently have available for translation. The languages that each video has already been translated into will be listed below the link. Please double check the subtitles (CC) on our Youtube channel to make sure your language has not already been added. Sometimes the list below updates slower than the actual channel.
Thanks for your help!
