Special Contest: For each event you will receive a pop quiz along with the regular in-game tasks. Quizzes may be taken at any time during the competition, and some of the answers may be accessible through the blog or wiki, so feel free to poke around the site for clues!

For those who pass our test we’ll be giving out special swag. Our top 3 will get notebooks, and those who make a passing grade (70%+)* will get an Eyewire magnet for their lockers. You must take all 5 quizzes to pass.

*Grading may be done on a curve depending on averages.
Thanks to @susi for sponsoring swag!

Statistically Accurate Happy Hour

First session runs from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Friday 8/23
Second session runs from 10:00 PM to midnight on Friday 8/23

Welcome to your first examination! This one’s all about Accuracy.

To pass this test, we’re looking for student excellence of 80% accuracy or higher during at least 1 of our 2 Accuracy Happy Hour events.

Once Accuracy HH begins we will also send you a written examination that will test your knowledge of some important Eyewire statistics! You’ll be graded (fittingly) based on how accurate your answers are!

Swag: Most accurate player completing at least 20 cubes wins 1 notebook and 1 magnet! Second and third place each also win magnets.

Bonuses:
1st Place Accuracy – 10,000 points
2nd Place Accuracy – 8,000 points
3rd Place Accuracy – 6,000 points
Achieve 95% Accuracy – 5,000 points
Achieve 90% Accuracy – 3,000 points
Achieve 80% Accuracy – 2,000 points
1,000 points for anyone under 80% who still plays at least 20 cubes in either slot.
(These bonus thresholds are non-cumulative, i.e. they will not combine. If you earn 3rd place, for instance, and presumably got over 95% accuracy, you still earn a 6,000 point bonus, not 11,000.)

P.E.-vil Cubes

Begins at 12:00 AM (midnight) on Saturday 8/24
Ends at 12:00 PM (noon) on Thursday 8/29

Wowee these sure are some Eeeeevil Cubes! If you can manage to get through all 12 of them without fainting from exhaustion you’ll have passed our test! Extra credit for players who score above 80% and 90% accuracy on these cubes as well.

We’re coupling this evil competition with one of school’s most evil subjects – PE (aka phys ed, aka how many more laps do i have to run around this gym??)! But don’t worry we won’t require you to come into HQ and do 100 situps and keyboard type tests. Instead let’s let the cells do all the work and test your knowledge of all the fascinating physical exertion that goes on at the microscopic level.

Swag: The top scoring player wins 1 notebook and 1 magnet! Second and third place each also win magnets.

Bonuses:
#1 accuracy – 20,000 points
