Space Dinosaurs: The Neuro-Ray Marathon
This is a special transmission from Admiral Rex.
The moment is here, Eyewirers. That asteroid isn’t going to stop itself, and you have proven yourselves very ready to handle the challenge. It’s time to blast your would-be annihilator to bits and save the Earth! But we have precious little time remaining to build the Neuro-Ray and deliver that glittering beam of high-octane science to our rocky foe. Now that we’ve hauled the parts into space, we have to make this weapon operational.
Starting at 10:00 AM on 4/27, you will have just 24 hours to complete this utterly critical construction project. If you succeed, we can look forward to many millennia of future technological exchange between humans and dinosaurs. If you fail, we can still look forward to many millennia together… but mostly because you fine folks will have had to evacuate to Pluto. I’m not sure you’ll be fond of Cretaceous-style oxygen levels in our atmosphere, either. They’re about half of Earth’s present levels.
So quick, humans! Warm up your fingers and eyes. Moisturize your perplexingly unarmored skin! You need to do that, right, without nice shiny scales?
Bonuses for your participation:
Complete 20 cubes – 2,000 point bonus
Complete 50 cubes – 5,000 point bonus
Complete 150 cubes – 20,000 point bonus
Complete 300 cubes – 40,000 point bonus
For every 150 cubes above 300 cubes – 2,500 points
If the cell is completed as hoped within 24 hrs, mappers who:
- Complete at least 50 cubes will win rights to vote on a new name for the Neuro-Ray Cell.
- Complete at least 200 cubes will win rights to nominate a new name for the Neuro-Ray Cell.
Swag:
1 t-shirt for whoever completes the most cubes
1 t-shirt for whoever traces at least 50 cubes with the highest accuracy
Earth’s survival depends on you!
