Foodception: Turducken vs Cherpumple

It’s almost Thanksgiving, and we’ve got food on the brain.  Not just food, but food inside food inside food.  There’s only so much food the human body can hold at one time, so you MUST decide – do you want the foodception of dinner, or the foodception of dessert?  This Eyewire VS competition is here to help you decide!

Turducken

A thanksgiving modern classic, the turducken is a meat lover’s dream.  The turducken does not play around – it’s name is exactly as it sounds: a chicken stuffed into a duck stuffed into a turkey.  This dish is also known as a “three bird roast” in some countries, or as I like to call it, the “pass out on your couch for 24 hours after consumpcken.”

Cherpumple

The cherpumple takes dessert to a whole new level.  A direct descendant of the great turducken, the cherpumple takes a sweeter (and more vegetarian friendly) approach to stuffing foods inside other foods.  A cherpumple encases three pies inside three cakes, then tiers the layers and frosts the entire dessert behemoth.

A classic cherpumple contains a cherry pie encased in white cake, a pumpkin pie encased in spice cake, and an apple pie encased in yellow cake.  You can make variations on the pie/cake types used for cherpumples, but you may need to alter the name of the dessert accordingly 😉

Choose your favorite food monster and let the battle begin!
