Eyewire Rocks: Marathon Results!

Rika, marathon, Daniela Gamba, Eyewire, citizen science, cell name

Somehow, in the span of only 24 hours, the whole lifetime of planet Earth flashed before our eyes. Phew! What a marathon. Congratulations one and all! You finished this 994-cube marathon cell in 23 hours 59 minutes, alongside 9 additional cells. We hope everyone has a better sense of how small we are in the grand arc of history— like neurons compared to the Eiffel Tower— but therefore how special we are, too.

Remember to join us next week after Happy Hour for the cell renaming ceremony! Players qualified to nominate a name or vote will receive notification(s) between now and Monday. For science!
