The October marathon is nigh!

The days are dark, the jack o’lanterns are glowing, the wind is chilly. It might be time to go trick-or-treating… but not quite yet. First, the Grim Reaper is prescribing a nice, hearty helping of MARATHON, Eyewirers. This time around, we’ll be running the October marathon from Thursday, 10/29 @ 10:00 AM EDT to Friday, 10/30 @ 10:00 AM EDT. Mark your calendars, and also take note that your rewards will not be somewhat based on accuracy in addition to cube count.
Swag & Bonuses
T-shirts will be won by:
- The player who completes the most cubes
- The top player who completes at least 50 cubes and has the highest accuracy
Anyone who completes more than 20 cubes with at least 80% accuracy will be entered into a raffle for:
- 2 additional t-shirts
- 4 mugs
- 2 posters
- 1 copy of Connectome by Sebastian Seung
Points bonuses for participating:
Complete 20 cubes – 2,000 point bonus
Complete 50 cubes – 5,000 point bonus
Complete 150 cubes – 20,000 point bonus
Complete 300 cubes – 40,000 point bonus
For every 150 cubes above 300 cubes – 2,500 point bonus
If the cell is completed within 24 hrs, mappers who:
- Complete at least 50 cubes will win rights to vote on a name for the October marathon cell.
- Complete at least 200 cubes will win rights to nominate a new name for the October marathon cell.
