March Marathon Madness!

UPDATE: We have finished the Marathon in 10 hours and 28 minutes! Any cubes you do from now until 10PM EST 3/19/2016 will still count for your Marathon Cube Count Total, so keep tracing. For SCIENCE! Once again, it’s marathon time, Eyewirers! And in case some of you were afraid we had stopped weekend marathons altogether, never fear, they’re back to appearing every other month. March’s marathon will kick off at 10:00 PM EDT on 3/18 and run for 24 hours. As usual, during this time you will have one singular cell to complete before the clock runs out!
Swag & Bonuses
T-shirts will be won by:
- The player who completes the most cubes
- The top player who completes at least 50 cubes and has the highest accuracy
Anyone who completes more than 20 cubes with at least 80% accuracy will be entered into a raffle for:
- 2 additional t-shirts
- 2 mugs
- 2 posters
- 1 copy of Connectome by Sebastian Seung
Points bonuses for participating:
Complete 20 cubes – 2,000 point bonus
Complete 50 cubes – 5,000 point bonus
Complete 150 cubes – 20,000 point bonus
Complete 300 cubes – 40,000 point bonus
For every 150 cubes above 300 cubes – 2,500 point bonus
If the cell is completed within 24 hrs, mappers who:
- Complete at least 50 cubes will win rights to vote on a name for the March marathon cell.
- Complete at least 200 cubes will win rights to nominate a new name for the March marathon cell.
