Liger vs. Zorse: Animal Mashup

Why pick one animal when you can have two!  Get ready for our animal hybrid mashup when a liger and a zorse battle it out for the title of best species combo!

Liger

The liger is a hybrid cross between a male lion and a female tiger.  LIgers typically grow larger than either of their parents, meanwhile the tigon – which has a female lion and a male tiger as parents, tend to grow only as large as a female tiger.  The liger is believed to be the largest known cat in the world.  Males can reach lengths of up to 3.6 meters.

Zorse

The zorse is an animal with a male zebra and a female horse as parents.  It has a horse-like appearance but with the dark stripes of a zebra along it’s legs, body and neck.  Because there are nearly 300 breeds of domesticated horses, zorses may vary greatly in appearance.  The zebra parentage of zorses also helps boost their resistance against pests and diseases that normally affect horses, making them very hearty animals.
