July open promotions are a go!

July open promotions?  Don’t you mean June??

Nope!  We have a special competition coming up soon, which we think you’ll really enjoy!  But it also means that our regular schedule is getting shifted around a bit.  So we’re opening up promotion requests now, but we won’t actually be granting promotions until Friday, July 13th at 4 PM ET  – a lucky day for any player to get promoted!

So make your request to upgrade to Scout, Scythe, Mod, Mentor and Mystic! You can fill out the open promotion form here to be considered by HQ without requiring player sponsors.

Scout, Scythe, and Mentor Qualifications:

  • Have at least earned 50,000 points and completed 500 cubes
  • Maintain at least 90% accuracy overall, with some flexibility if you’re really close
  • Participation in the Eyewire community thru chat, forums, email, etc.

Mystic Qualifications:

  • Scythe Complete an average of 200 cubes per month
  • Maintain at least 95% reaping accuracy
  • Because Mystics own their own cells, routine Eyewire participation also affects HQ’s decision

Moderator Qualifications:

  • Active in chat/the Eyewire community
  • Respectful of others
  • Knowledgeable about Eyewire basics
  • At least 16
  • More about mods here

If you would like to be considered for promotion please apply no later than Thursday, 7/12 at 12 PM EDT. Please note that because Mods and Mystics are not promoted via sponsorship, this is your time window to become either if you’re eligible. (And obviously, if you would still like to be promoted to other roles via sponsorship, you can apply using the usual sponsored promotion form, whether this week or another.)

For those who receive a promotion there will be a Scouts & Scythes training session via an open Google Hangout from 5-6 PM ET on 7/13. For science!
