This week, Claire O’Connell and Amy Robinson presented EyeWire at Biovision, The World Life Sciences Forum in Lyon, France. We entered the Catalyzer Competition, a prize awarded to “the world’s most innovative, collaborative, game changing projects” in six different focuses. EyeWire was selected as a contestent for Focus 2, which included the fields of Neuroscience, Genomics, Stem Cell Therapy and Aging.
Today, Claire gave a presentation in front of an audience and prestigious judges panel, including Michael Posner and Patrick Levy. We’ll upload a video soon. The Catalyzer winners were announced at the Biovision Closing Ceremony…annnd EyeWire was selected as the winner!!
We recorded a video at the conference with a special message to all the EyeWirers out there. Our friends Émile and Gabriel from AReaction Films are kindly editing the footage right now — we look forward to sharing our excitement with you as soon as this is complete.
We want to take this opportunity to thank you –the EyeWire players and the team at EyeWire HQ. None of this would be possible without your passion for understanding the brain. This is just the beginning. Since EyeWire launched just four months ago, our community has grown to over 57,000 players from 100 countries. You are trailblazing the future of neuroscience and we couldn’t be more excited to share in the discovery process with you.
See you online at eyewire.org!
