Eyewire Release Report 7/28/2017

As detailed here, every few Fridays we’re sharing which bug fixes and tiny features our developers have released into the wild. Apart from bigger changes that have received their own posts, here are the releases on Eyewire since the last report.

  • Our login page just got a lot more heroic! Rika and Nurro, two of our Eyewire Heroes, now appear there. You can learn more about the Heroes here!
  • Mystics now have Review Mode to see how they traced against Player B and the Grim Reaper (or, if they were Player B, just Grim). To activate Review Mode, inspect a cube and then hit “R.” Then you will see the current state of the cube and which segments, if any, you missed or erroneously added. Please note that this feature only exists on zfish cells, but we do plan to iterate this feature for all our gameplay and to make it available for more than just Mystics.
  • Going forward, HQ’s competition infrastructure includes the option to auto-award bonuses for an event, which should eliminate leaderboard issues with one event following hot on the heels of another. It also means we may be able to schedule more competition events outside of normal HQ operating hours (usually 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM Eastern Time).

Please note that you will have the smoothest Eyewire experience if you use the most recent 64-bit version of Firefox or Chrome, a recent operating system like macOS Sierra/Windows 10/Ubuntu 16, and a machine with at least 8 GB of RAM.

Next report will be in a couple weeks, though in the meantime you may see new feature posts anyway. For science!
