Eyewire Release Report 2/22/2019

Happy Friday! To give you a comprehensive picture of everything new on Eyewire, here are all changes since the last report a few weeks ago.

  • There used to be a lot of false-alarm 404 errors in browser consoles for Eyewire; we have gotten rid of them so that when you check your console for error messages it’s much more obvious what might be wrong.
  • We have added a “Request Sponsorship” link to the hamburger menu in the upper right of Eyewire. This link populates form information to a new tab on the existing sponsorship sheet. If you would like to be promoted via sponsorship, you may now use this form rather than simply asking in chat. If you are a Scout, Scythe, or mentor and you’re keeping up with the sheet for people to sponsor, please see the new instructions on the sheet about this.
  • Forum avatars had been a little messed up; now they are fixed.
  • Scythes: there is now a camera icon in Inspect Mode, visible if you have activated HQ’s official version of KrzysztofKruk’s Utilities script. This icon appears in the Scouts’ Log if you wish to take a screenshot for your log entry that shows something about the cube other than what you’re reaping. Click that icon and it will save the image and automatically use it for your entry when you reap. This should make it easier to show what you corrected.

Please note that you will have the smoothest Eyewire experience if you use the most recent 64-bit version of Firefox or Chrome, a recent operating system like macOS Mojave/Windows 10/Ubuntu 16, and a machine with at least 8 GB of RAM.

We’ll catch you again soon. For science!
