Chemical Curiosities: Elemental Trivia

How have you been enjoying our Chemical Curiosities so far? Learning new things? Itching to show off what you already know? Either way, you’re in luck because we’re almost at the part where it’s brain vs. brain: trivia time!

This time around we’re going to ask you some chemistry questions, neuroscience questions, and broader science questions from other fields — but there’s going to be an extra special focus on the chemistry part, as the questions will cover 50% of the entire Periodic Table of the Elements! That means 59 of the usual 79 questions will focus on a distinct element. Which ones will be featured, though — there’s the mystery. You might need to brush up on the whole table just to make sure! Bear in mind also that spelling counts if you need to name a chemical element. Alternate names may be accepted depending on the question, but misspelled versions will not go toward your score!

Trivia How-To: The bot will start firing off questions at 11:00 AM EST on 2/19 and continue until 11:00 AM EST on 2/21, at which point things will finish with a power hour till noon. Submit your answers by typing them into the chat box. Optional: you may submit answers privately by messaging @inquizitor if you do not want other players to see your responses. To do this, type /pm inquizitor before your message.
