The First EyeWire Starburst Cells are Complete!

YOU DID IT!! Today is an EPIC Day! All starburst synapses onto the IFLS neuron have been identified, which means the dataset for the first EyeWire paper is complete!!

Players added over 828 starburst cubes in the past 24 hours during the Ketta Competition!

Record breaking

Buco lead points for the day with 84,168 (the #2 top daily score of all time!)

19 players made it into the 20K Club, scoring over 20,000 points in one day.

35 people made it to 10K and 52 made it to 5K, respectively earning a 2,500 and 1,000 point bonus.

On a typical day in EyeWire, players submit between 5,000 and 7,000 cubes. During the Ketta Competition, players submitted 12,032 cubes in 24 hours!

This competition is based on three metrics: score, cubes and accuracy. Accuracy carries the greatest weight. We will calculate it this week and announce the winner by Thursday. We’ll also share additional stats, including fun facts like how many players beat their personal record during the Ketta Competition.
