Long seen as emblems of scientific research, the lab rat and guinea pig are both members of the rodent family that have become associated with scientific testing.

In the case of Eyewire, we owe our scientific research to neither rat nor guinea pig, but rather to a mouse called Harold, who gave us our data set, E2198.  More on that here.

So who are the lab rats and guinea pigs of Eyewire?  Why us of course!  All of our players, and even our members of HQ are participating in a new research project unlike any that have been done before!  We are the citizen scientists, lab rats and guinea pigs of the 21st century!

So pick the rodent that best represents you, and lets make some science happen!
