A behind the scenes look at the Eyewire community.

Meet the Eyewirers who are mapping the brain. Today’s featured Eyewirer is @Xnopyt.

Introduce yourself!

My name is Andrej, and I’m a 15-year old high school student from Macedonia.

Why do you play Eyewire?

I first got into Eyewire because I wanted something to do in my spare time, that was also productive. Eyewire is excellent for that because it’s quite addicting, helps kill time and also helps science find out ‘what goes on in the brain?’

How did you discover Eyewire?

I discovered Eyewire by searching for things to do when bored. I found it amongst a few other volunteer projects like VocaliD and Foldit, and found it quite fun to get into.

What do you do for fun?

People say I’m a computer nerd, and I’m interested in computers, music and linguistics. I also like hiking, cycling and exploring the woods from time to time.

Anything else you’d like to add?

Not really, except that I’m thankful for EyeWire’s existence.

If you’re an active Eyewirer, we’d love to write a blog about you! Fill out this Featured Eyewirer Questionnaire and we’ll be in touch.
