In imperial China, the dragon and the phoenix were respectively associated with the Emperor and the Empress, representing a divine harmony. What would happen if that harmony fell out of balance? For this week’s VS battle, pick your magical creature and trace to determine who the winner would be.

- Its colored feathers represent the five Confucian virtues: altruism, honesty, knowledge, integrity, and propriety
- Although we call the 凤凰 a phoenix in English, it doesn’t burn up and resurrect itself like the Greek phoenix does. It’s simply a powerful, fiery bird.
