The August Marathon is here!

Hey EyeWirers!  It’s time for another monthly marathon!

UPDATE:

We have finished the Marathon in 12 hours and 16 minutes!   Any cubes you do from now until 10PM EST will still count for your Marathon Cube Count Total, so keep tracing.  For SCIENCE!

August’s marathon runs from Fri, August 28 at 10pm ET – Sat, August 29 at 10pm ET.

Get ready to race to the finish!

Participate in the marathon and you could win one of:

The top 5 players in the marathon will automatically receive EyeWire t-shirts. The rest of the prizes will go into a lottery. Anyone who completes 100 cubes or more in the marathon will be entered into the lottery.

Points bonuses for participating in the August marathon:

Complete 20 Cubes – 2,000 point bonus
Complete 50 cubes – 5,000 point bonus
Complete 150 cubes – 20,000 point bonus
Complete 300 cubes – 40,000 point bonus
For every 150 cubes above 300 cubes – 2,500 points

If the cell is completed within 24 hrs, mappers who:

Complete at least 50 cubes will win rights to vote on a name for the August marathon cell.
Complete at least 150 cubes will win rights to nominate a new name for the August marathon cell.
