Pyr Livechat: Thurs July 29 at 3 pm ET

You’re invited to a livechat on eyewire.org on Thursday, July 29 at 3 pm US ET for an update on Pyr, the next citizen science project from the creators of Eyewire. During this chat we’ll give an update on what Seung Lab has been working on for the past 5 years and look ahead at what’s to come.

We’re excited to share the dataset that will become Pyr will become publicly available to the neuroscience community on July 29. Though proofreading from citizen scientists won’t launch at this time, we’re excited to invite you to explore these latest grounds of connectomics. On Thursday, keep an eye out for links to view interactive 3D reconstructions of many different cell types and some new animations that show the scope of this new project (think 200,000 neurons connected by nearly 500 million synapses).
