Announcing Nosewire

Snuff aside the retinal neurons; it’s time for a fresh scent. You’ve heard for a while that we are launching a new citizen science project. Well, it’s finally here and it ain’t Neo! Today we announce Nosewire, the successor to Eyewire!

Ganglion schmanglion. The neurons of the olfactory system are waaaayyyyy more interesting. I mean who needs to see when you can smell? Our lab focuses on visual system and cortical cells so we don’t really have a clue what’s going on in there, but we’re excited to find out.

And not only are stinker neurons scientifically more interesting, but aesthetically they are glorious. They say the nose is the window to the wind pipe, which is only one step away from the soul. And who doesn’t want to take a trip up someone’s nose? That’s why Nosewire will launch in VR so that you can get up close and personal with the globby neurons of olfaction. The first 100 players will also receive a custom Nosewire odor emitter that will treat them to as many smells as there are flavors in Bertie Botts Every Flavor Bean.
