Kick off your summer with Camp Eyewire!  Join your camp counselors for a summer of fun, sun, and Eyewire games!

And of course, there will be plenty of swag to claim for our most enthusiastic campers, including special EyeWire S’mores available only during this competition!

Archery Accuracy Hours

Fri, July 24, 2015, 2pm – 4pm ET + 10pm — 11:59pm ET

Camp will kick off with an archery contest.  Play as many cubes as you can for regular Happy Hour bonuses, plus some special bonuses for great accuracy.  80%? 90%?  How close to the bullseye can you get?

**You can choose to play during either time slot.  If you play during both time slots, your highest accuracy will be counted.

Top 5 most accurate: A signed copy of Sebastian Seung’s “Connectome” + EyeWire S’more Kit

Bonuses:
1st Place Accuracy – 10,000 points
2nd Place Accuracy – 8,000 points
3rd Place Accuracy – 6,000 points
Achieve 95% Accuracy – 5,000 points
Achieve 90% Accuracy – 3,000 points
Achieve 80% Accuracy – 2,000 points
Less than 80% Accuracy — 1,000 points

**You must play at least 20 cubes to earn an accuracy bonus.

(These bonus thresholds are non-cumulative, i.e. they will not combine. If you earn 3rd place, for instance, and presumably got over 95% accuracy, you still earn a 6,000 point bonus, not 11,000.)

Campfire Stories:  “Tales of Cubes from Beyond the Crypt”

Join your fellow campers around the Eyewire campfire for some scary stories.  We’ve all heard tales of the nefarious Evil Cubes, but are they only legends… or could these horrible monsters really exist?

Find out (and win points for accuracy) in the Evil Cubes challenge!

**There will be two sets of Evil Cubes for this competition.  You only need to complete one set.  If you complete both sets we will take your highest accuracy.

Top 5 Most accurate: mug + EyeWire S’more Kit
Participation (must complete all Evil Cubes) — Raffle: 10 mugs

Bonuses:
1st Place Accuracy – 8,000 points

1,000 points for anyone with 80%+ accuracy who plays all 12 cubes.

Survival Skills Trivia

If you were lost in the woods could you survive?  We’re about to find out!  Test your knowledge of the the great outdoors in a trivia challenge designed to make you a camper extraordinaire!

Trivia will introduce 1 question per hour, and 1 question every 2 minutes for the power hour.

Bonuses:
For every question –
1st to answer – 300 points
2nd to answer – 200 points
3rd to answer – 100 points

S’more Challenge: Marshmallow vs Chocolate vs Graham Cracker

We all love s’mores!  But what element really gives s’more it’s essence?  That’s up to you to decide in a battle for everyone’s favorite campfire treat!

Each member of the winning team who earns at least 5,000 points: Sticker

Bonuses:
Earn 5,000 points – 2,500 bonus
Earn 15,000 points – 5,000 bonus
Earn 25,000 points – 10,000 bonus
For every 25,000 points above 25,000 – 5,000 bonus
Member of winning team (if you’ve scored at least 2,500 points) – 10,000 bonus
Highest scorer on each team – 5,000 bonus
Player with #1 overall score – 10,000 bonus
Player with #2 overall score – 5,000 bonus
Player with #3 overall score – 2,500 bonus

Capture the Cell Marathon!

Wed, July 29, 2015, 10am ET – Thu, July 30, 2015, 10am ET

We’ll close out Camp Eyewire with an epic Capture the Cell marathon battle!  We’ll have two half cells up, and players will choose their teams.  Which ever half cell gets completed first will gain the glory and the points!  May the best team win!

At least 20 cubes complete in the marathon: sticker

Bonuses:
Complete 20 Cubes – 2,000 point bonus
Complete 50 cubes – 5,000 point bonus
Complete 150 cubes – 20,000 point bonus
Complete 300 cubes – 40,000 point bonus
For every 150 cubes above 300 cubes – 2,500 points

There will also be a 2,000 point bonus to everyone on the winning team.

If the cell is completed within 24 hrs, those mappers who:

• Complete at least 50 cubes will win rights to vote on a new name for the cell.
• Complete at least 150 cubes will win rights to nominate a new name for the cell.

July Promotions and Awards Ceremony

We’ll be giving out points and merit badges to all our best campers during our July Promotions.  We’ll also meet our newest class of Scouts, Scythes, Mods and Mentors!  It will be a great way to end a great summer full of fun, games and science at Camp Eyewire!
