Narwhal vs. Unicorn vs. Pegasus

It’s time for a battle of epic proportions! We’ve got 3 majestic and magical creatures for you to choose from. How will you manage to pick just one?? It’ll be a tough decision but you must choose a side. Pick your favorite and let the battle begin! The competition starts at 11 AM EDT on 3/22 and goes for 24 hours!

Narwhal

The Narwhal, sometimes also called the “Narwhale” is a unique creature that has the epic horn of a mythological beast, but is actually real! The narwhal is also quite rare, as one of two living species of whales in the Monodontidae family (the other is the beluga whale). If you want to experience the magic for yourself you can head up to the Canadian Arctic, Greenland, or Russia, where you can catch a glimpse of these sea unicorns.

Unicorn

The legendary unicorn has been a major staple of many mythologies since antiquity. It’s made it into ancient greek historical accounts, onto the seals of the Bronze Age Indus Valley Civilization, and has even made an appearance in the Bible. Scotland particularly loves the unicorn – it’s their national animal and makes an appearance on the royal coat of arms.

Pegasus

You may have heard about the mythological Greek white-winged horse, Pegasus. But did you know that Pegasus had a brother? That’s right, Pegasus’s little-known human (or possibly boarish) brother was named Chrysaor, or “He who has a golden sword.” The parents of these extremely fraternal twins were Poseidon and Medusa. We’re not sure how that all works out from a genealogical perspective, but it’s quite a story nonetheless.
