It’s time for the January marathon!
The Dig approaches! As previously announced, we’re about to kick off a fresh neuron countdown with the cell set you bravely tested last autumn as Lab Cells. We’ve now busily been picking out a nice, juicy marathon cell for all of you to get the Dig underway. Starting Wednesday, 1/27 @ 10:00 AM EST you will have the usual 24 hours to complete this single cell!
Swag & Bonuses
T-shirts will be won by:
- The player who completes the most cubes
- The top player who completes at least 50 cubes and has the highest accuracy
Anyone who completes more than 20 cubes with at least 80% accuracy will be entered into a raffle for:
- 2 additional t-shirts
- 2 mugs
- 2 posters
- 1 copy of Connectome by Sebastian Seung
Points bonuses for participating:
Complete 20 cubes – 2,000 point bonus
Complete 50 cubes – 5,000 point bonus
Complete 150 cubes – 20,000 point bonus
Complete 300 cubes – 40,000 point bonus
For every 150 cubes above 300 cubes – 2,500 point bonus
If the cell is completed within 24 hrs, mappers who:
- Complete at least 50 cubes will win rights to vote on a name for the January marathon cell.
- Complete at least 200 cubes will win rights to nominate a new name for the January marathon cell.
