Eyewire Release Report 1/20/2017

neurons-seung

As detailed here, every few Fridays we’re sharing which bug fixes and tiny features our developers have released into the wild. Apart from bigger changes that have received their own posts, here are the releases on Eyewire since the last report.

  • A fix for a bug that was causing players to receive abnormally (incorrectly) low points on all their cubes.
  • A fix for a bug that had caused Explore Mode segments to not be submitted unless they were first committed. This bug and the one above may have been caused by some back-end site changes that may also have resulted in some other new bugs that we’re working to fix. We promise our developers are on it! If you do have any issues, feel free to e-mail support@eyewire.org with your browser/OS information and, if possible, any screenshots or error logs.
  • Profiles should now load faster, if you experienced slowness issues.
  • The time it took for TB retro points to be released had gotten slower, and recently very slow. Now it should be substantially faster than it’s been in a while.

Please note that you will have the smoothest Eyewire experience if you use the most recent 64-bit version of Firefox or Chrome, a recent operating system like Windows 10/macOS Sierra/Ubuntu 16.04.1, and a machine with at least 8 GB of RAM.

Next report will be in a couple weeks, though in the meantime you may see new feature posts anyway. For science!
